Crested Butte Sunrise
For this painting I really wanted to create the light on the mountains at sunrise and how it colors everything in warmth and color. I chose Crested Butte in Colorado for the subject because of the natural beauty of that area and to add to my Colorado painting series. This piece was created with oil paint, brush and palette knives and took about 20 hrs to create and about that long to dry too! The original is 20x30in on gallery wrapped canvas.
