16×20in oil on gallery wrapped canvas original.
The first painting in my new botanical series, I painted the background of this one long before the subject. I wanted a particular mood for the piece and felt stuck, so I continued researching colors and subjects to bring it all together. My husband was encouraging me to experiment and try something different and new, and so I decided to use a peach tree branch for the subject. Peaches are my favorite! Colorado produces some of the best in my opinion, and with this particular painting I wanted that color drenched vibe. I loved using oil paint and palette knives to create textured large multicolored bright peaches. All originals are signed and come with a certificate of authenticity.
